updated: 29 January 2026 (sunny afternoon in Wellington after a few days of rain) There was a lot of making since my last update. I was contacted by [The Collaboration](https://www.thecollaborationnz.nz/) in New Plymouth inviting me to join their pop-up shop. I thought this was a great opportunity to get my work beyond Wellington. I said yes and signed up for their next block of six-weeks starting from 16 February. ![[IMG_7445.jpeg]] I was also making a lot of things to restock the shelves at Welly Collective. The most popular things that seem to be flying off the shelf at the moment are my little fridge magnet vases. I enjoy making them and they are useful to test glazes with. I've used 3D printed stamps to imprint the images that I then paint with underglaze that I wipe off. They are very cute. These glazes are semi transparent too, so the stamps really stand out. This week, however, everything ground to a halt as my kiln broke down and I need to get replacement wires for the control box. I could continue to make more things, but my drying shelves are full, and there is not much space to store things. I hope the replacement wire arrives tomorrow so I can continue with the bisque firing that got up to 600C before it went poof. So I took this week as the opportunity to slow down and rest a bit and do some long overdue work on the computer. ## Paint-A-Mug One of the new things opening at Welly Collective is a workshop space at the shop in Lambton Quay. I'm starting it off with a [[Paint-A-Mug]] session on Valentine's Day. ## Ghibli inspired ![[Screenshot 2026-01-29 at 8.11.40 PM.png]] Here are some of the Ghibli inspired pottery things that I've been playing around with. I'll be making more of these for Armageddon in April. ## now archives [[2026-01-03]] [[2025-10-10]] [[2025-09-08]] [[2025-08-16]] [[2025-06-27]] [[2025-06-16]] [[2025-05-09]] [[2025-04-02]] [[2025-03-09]]
