updated: 24 June 2026, Wellington, New Zealand ## Biggest decision I made so far in my pottery life Last week I thought hard about an opportunity that came up. There was one space left at the [Wellington Food Show](https://foodshow.co.nz/ticket-guide-wlg/). It's on 28-30 August at Hnry Stadium, like Armageddon in April. However, this would be an exhibition that is food themed. The pottery I make is mostly made for food, so I think I'd fit right in. After a whole week of humming and harring over it, I decided I'd go for it. The table fee is quite high. Luckily there's a payment plan for the table fee. I'm hoping I would recover all of it and more. I've made a spreadsheet of what I should make, how much it would cost to make, and how much I could potentially sell it for. Have started making things for it. It's 10 weeks away, but that time would go in a flash I think. ## First pieces from a gas kiln firing These are the nesting bowls I made in Ōtaki that were fired in their gas kiln. I love the way it looks so classy. ![[IMG_0210.jpeg]] ## now archives [[2026-05-21]] [[2026-04-12]] [[2026-03-29]] [[2026-03-16]] [[2026-03-01]] [[2026-02-23]] [[2026-01-29]] [[2026-01-03]] [[2025-10-10]] [[2025-09-08]] [[2025-08-16]] [[2025-06-27]] [[2025-06-16]] [[2025-05-09]] [[2025-04-02]] [[2025-03-09]]
